Description

Flat Track is the oldest form of motorcycle racing in the United States. It began in the 1920’s and brought thrill seekers looking to test themselves against other riders to see who could pilot their primitive machine fastest. They raced around some version of an oval track composed of a wide variety of surfaces. Today, Flat Track is a resurgent racing culture that has never veered far from it’s roots.

The Flat Track suit has been evolving at a frantic pace over the last few years. The standard Flat Track suit of not long ago hardly resembles what riders are wearing today. With the acceptance of new materials, advanced patterning and stretch panel placement, armor, Airbags and fit standards, the Flat Track suit is a technical as the suits worn for Road Racing. And, with NJK having exclusive rights to the Flat Track version of the Alpinestars TechAir Airbag system, our suits are offering the most state of the art protection available to the public.

NJK Flat Track suits can consist of:

  • One or Two piece configuration.
  • 1.4mm thick Cow or Kangaroo leather or Kevlar material
  • Alpinestars TechAir Airbag system or traditional construction
  • Inside the boot or over the boot configuration
  • Extensive Kevlar (Schoeller Keprotec) paneling in areas requiring flexibility
  • Accordion stretch panels throughout
  • Double ply material in all contact areas
  • Aero hump
  • Built in lining
  • Level 2 CE internal armor
  • Exterior armor
  • Soft Pads
  • Interior ratchet waist belt system
  • Perforation for air flow
  • Printed logos and graphics or Laser cut and sewn logos and graphics
  • YKK Brass zippers

The design of our custom Flat Track suit also tends to be the most diverse. There is a big demand for the vintage/retro looking suits, and we can build those with all of the most modern safety and flexibility features of the most modern suits. And, if you want something ultra state of the art, that’s our specialty! We love drawing suits and are more than happy to brainstorm with you to figure out how to make exactly what you want to wear. We have a vast collection of drawings of previous Flat Track suits on this site for some insights on what we have already done. We never like to replicate a previous suit though. We can always figure a way to take a suit you like and put your own twist on it.
